For my interactive learning resource, I will be applying the concept of inclusive learning to meet the needs of all learners. This week, I have learned about various barriers students may face. Instructor Jess Mitchell first introduced the concept of inclusive learning in our readings, highlighting its goal to accommodate learners at different levels (M. Jess, personal communication, May 1, 2023). For example, I plan to teach wellness using a mix of readings, videos, grey literature and Mattermost. I recognize that everyone has different learning styles and I want to ensure all students can grasp the material effectively and efficiently. My goal is to let students ace the material within a short period of time.

To prevent unexpected events, we will upload the materials to a shared learning space like Google Docs. Students can comment and make adjustments while working on their projects. The comment function will serve as a discussion thread, allowing real time feedback and corrections. During the pandemic, I learned the value of prerecorded lectures on platforms like Zoom. We will teach students the basics of Zoom and drag them into breakout rooms for group discussions. Learners can revisit the materials at their time zone and availability. Missing a lecture is not the end of the world and we are all human. Most importantly, there are transcripts for learners who have hearing impairments.
Switching to an online environment can be difficult for some of the students , particularly those without reliable access to technology. Some may face financial difficulties and I totally understand. Therefore, I will offer accommodations for students in need and ensure that most tasks can be completed during class time.
Moreover, cooperative learning can be a nightmare for some of the students because they feel like their contributions are overshadowed. Therefore, I will also allow options for individual work just like how we formed groups for this course. This flexibility ensures that all students a participate in a way that suits them the best.
An example of ramp entrances inspire me the most because a simple idea can make a significant difference for those in need. Education should not be strictly about grades but about making learning accessible. The education journey can be long, but it has the potential to be engaging and rewarding as well.
